Sun Basket: The (Organic) Think-Proof Meal Delivery System

I mean, sometimes I eliminate a recipe option just because it calls for a hard to find ingredient or too many ingredients because I know I'll waste the excess and quite frankly, don't want to overcomplicate shopping and prep.

All you have to do is indicate if you're cooking for 2 or 4 people, select your desired recipes for the week and boom! Half your week is taken care of! You control which weeks ship or skip, and you have until each Thursday to change your mind or update preferences for the following week.

Grilled Chicken Tacos

Our first meal was relatively simple, and I know we could all do this ourselves, but do you see how much cabbage, cilantro and cheese they included? Enough for our 6 tacos. Notice the tomato paste? I didn't have to open a whole can. I also didn't have to roast those red peppers! I also wouldn't have bought radishes on my own but they were great! There was also a seasoning for the chicken which was not pictured. 

Prep and cooking was such a breeze, seriously I must've said it to myself 14 times while making the meal, which only took about 15-20 minutes from start to finish. Tacos were great and we were full, so it was an easy night!

Ratatouile with Freekah and Ricotta Salata

Then there was ratatouille. Not only had I never made ratatouille, I'd never tasted it... I'd only ever seen the movie. This was a one of our vegetarian options and even as I was making it I didn't think I was going to like it but turns out: it was our favorite. 

Super delicious meal featuring several ingredients I'd never pick up myself in the grocery store. I had seconds, there was plenty of food to go around. Total win. 

Steak and Eggs with Tomato Cauliflower Rice


I know Steak and Eggs is a thing, but I'd never made it until now. I really liked this recipe with the cauliflower rice and the scallion-maple syrup oil - A simple touch that added a ton of flavor. 

I have only recently enjoyed sunny side eggs, and it was a perfect topping to the meal. Sawyer doesn't eat enjoy meat very often, but I scrambled her an egg which she gobbled up along with the cauliflower rice.

This isn't my first meal delivery service I've tried, in fact, I tried another organic service but I didn't get to choose my meals.
